This is the stretch of the Danube by bike that starts from the source of the river, from the source of the Danube in Donaueschingen. It is a beautiful area with a lot of forest located between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb Mountains.

After this first more mountainous part, the last part of the trip will be flatter. This section is the wildest in terms of the landscape where you pedal, while at the same time you can see fertile lands and typical German agricultural villages from Oberschwaben to Donauwörth.

Pedaling along the Danube by bike, just as Roman emperors and kings did years ago, is one of the most outstanding cycling experiences in Europe.

It is about traveling an old commercial and military route with a lot of history. This section begins in the city of the three rivers, Passau and will end in Vienna after visiting several provinces of the Austrian country.

The landscape and environment through which you pedal is fantastic: the valleys, forests, rivers and rural areas will not leave you indifferent. In addition, along the way you will have the opportunity to taste its rich gastronomy.

In short, this section is very complete in terms of doing some sport, eating well and learning a new culture.

This section stands out for the numerous capitals through which it passes as well as for the differences in each country: Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.

Among the cities, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest stand out, but there are many villages that still preserve their essence of the past in which it will be worth stopping to explore.

We will pedal along castles such as Carnuntum or Kelemantia, we will see impressive palaces, we will pass through Rye, a famous island for its rich fauna.

It is a journey to relax and unwind. You cycle on bike lanes and relatively quiet back roads. There is also some fun stretch of unpaved track without difficulty.

Accommodation on Danube bike tours varies from case to case, but reliable accommodation. We work with 2 to 4-star hotels, hostels or inns that have been selected for their quality and location.

I am only one, is it possible to book the tour?

No, a minimum of two people is needed to book this tour

Can I rent a bike?

Yes, a fully equiped bike is available for rent. You can select during the booking process.

Is the daily luggage transfer between the accommodations included?

Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You just have to leave it at reception, and we take care of everything. Usually it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.

Can I cancel the booking?

We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in the event of an unforeseen event, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip at no cost so that you can travel within the same year.

And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following management fees will apply:

• With more than 30 days, the management costs will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
• Between 30 and 15 days, the management costs will be 50% of the amount of the trip
• With less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.

To have more flexibility, we recommend contracting travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance with which the trip can be canceled up to 24 hours before the start date with a 10% franchise. Check with us the conditions. Keep in mind that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
