You will be able to see them up close along the route, on the beaches of Mimizan, and of course in the famous Biarritz.
In addition to pedaling along the Velodyssey, you will get to know the most representative cities of the French Basque Country.

Day 1: Arrival at the first hotel in Arcachon
Depending on your arrival time, you will be able to get to know a bit more of Arcachon bay, its beautiful promenade and its houses full of light.
Are you ready to start pedaling tomorrow?
Day 2: Arcachon – Biscarrosse beach 33km
Stroll along the bay of Arcachon to reach the wonderful Pilat Dune, one of the highest in Europe and certainly with an incredible view of the ocean. Park the bikes and do not miss the experience of climbing to the top of the dune. You will be able to descend in very funny ways, you will enjoy like a child!
Later, when you have regained your strength, continue along the Velodyssey to reach today’s destination, Biscarrosse.
Day 3: Biscarrosse beach – Mimizan beach 57 km
Today’s tour will take you to the beach of Mimizan, but first we recommend you to stop in the town and enjoy the good atmosphere.
Besides being a paradise for the thousands of tourists who visit every year, Mimizan has a lovely lake that is easily accessible by bike. You can have a good time, rent a boat and even have a picnic…
You can park your bikes and visit the botanical garden, full of native species, a spectacle of colors!
Day 4: Mimizan beach – León 46/54 km
Today’s stage will start pedaling gently along the bike path, surrounded by greenery and pine trees, which will give you a few kilometers of shade.
Along the way, make some stops to rest, take pictures of the most beautiful forests and beaches along the way. If the weather allows it, don’t forget to take a refreshing swim at the beach before arriving at your destination, León.
Day 5: León 36/41 km
Today you will enjoy a lovely 2h boat ride on the Huchet stream, where you will enjoy wonderful views of the nature reserve.
If you are traveling in summer, you can not miss the traditional market in the town square, where you can discover the best local products of the Landes.
You will have the whole day to enjoy Leon, cycling near the lake and visiting the beaches.
Day 6: León – Capbreton – Biarritz 40 km
After breakfast, you will start cycling towards Capbreton on the “Velodyssey” cycling route, crossing beautiful landscapes and breathing fresh air.
On the way, we recommend a stop in the village of Moliets et Maa, famous for its good wine, and for being a point of interest in the world of surfing and cycling.
Day 7: Capbreton – Biarritz 40 km
Today you will say goodbye to Capbreton to discover the good vibes of Biarritz, a city full of surfers and lovers of this sport. If you dare, you can join them and practice in one of its surf schools, as the city is full of them. We encourage you to make your way through the waves of its wonderful beaches!
In addition, you can stroll through its neighborhoods, learn about its identity and why it is the favorite place of so many tourists and surfers for so many years.

I am only one person, can I still book?
Yes, you can book as a single traveler.
Is it possible to rent a bike?
Yes, this trip can be done with either your bike or ours. You can choose it during the booking process, hybrid or electric mountain bikes are available.
Is the daily luggage transfer between accommodations included?
Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You only have to leave it at the reception desk, and we will take care of everything. Normally it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.
Is it possible to cancel?
We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip free of charge so that you can travel within the same year, as long as you let us know at least 3 weeks in advance.
And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following handling fees will apply:
– with more than 30 days, the management fees will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
– between 30 and 15 days, the handling fee will be 50% of the amount of the trip.
– with less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.
In order to have more flexibility, we recommend taking out travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance. Check with us the conditions. Please note that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
Are there roads?
Practically the entire trip is on Vias Verdes, tracks or asphalt roads. If you make the stage to Valencia, there are a few kilometers of link that are made by road where you should drive with caution.
