Discover the Cantabrian coast in the best way through the Camino del Mar by bike from Ribadeo to Espasante.
Unique corners such as the most beautiful bench in the world, the beach of the Cathedrals or the walk between cliffs Fuciño do Porco.
Day 1: Arrival at Ribadeo
Enjoy the historic center, stroll through the Plaza de España and from there contemplate the iconic Torre de los Moreno, emblematic building of the city. We will provide you with all the necessary documentation for your trip, route notebooks and GPS tracks for the stages. You will stay in a renowned hotel in the city.
Day 2: Ribadeo – Burela 54km
The day will start pedaling along the fantastic promenade of Ribadeo on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea. It will be a must to visit the viewpoint to observe the Pancha Island and the estuary that forms the Eo. Further on you will cycle through a beautiful fishing village called Rinlo, to see first hand its area on the cliffs.
After a few kilometers you will reach one of the greatest natural monuments of the Camino del Mar by bicycle: the Playa de las Catedrales (Cathedrals Beach).
Day 3: Burela – Viveiro 46km
Today’s stage will allow us to really get to know the Cantabrian coastline in its purest form from the departure from Burela.
When you reach San Ciprián, you will see its peninsula formed by an island and the subsequent accumulation of sand. From the lighthouse of that town, you will pedal to the lighthouse of Punta Roncadoira, a unique place with unforgettable views.
Before the end of the stage, you will have the chance to contemplate a magnificent view of the estuary from the viewpoint of Monte do Faro.
Day 4: Viveiro – Estaca de Bares 39km
Today you can visit one of the most incredible natural enclaves of the Camino del Mar by bicycle: Fuciño do Porco, the village of O Porto Barqueiro with its little houses painted in a sailor style and the Estaca de Bares (one of the most spectacular capes of the Cantabrian Sea and its viewpoint the Semáforo de Bares with cliffs of 200m).
Day 5: Estaca de Bares – Espasante 29km
Last stage of the bike trip and visit one of the icons of the Cantabrian coast: the most beautiful bank in the world. The bank, beyond the stunning views, became famous for its inscription “The best bank of the world.
Day 6: Breakfast in Espasante and end of the trip
After a good breakfast, the Camino del mar by bike will be over.
Day 7: Back to Murcia and end of the trip
We will return to Murcia after breakfast and end the experience.

Usual accommodations for the trip
The accommodations on the Camino del Mar by bike have been selected for their quality and location. 1-4 star hotels, 1-3 star pensions and rural tourism establishments, always private rooms with bathroom, all inspected by our team.
I am only one person, can I still book?
Yes, you can book as a single traveler.
Is it possible to rent a bike?
Yes, this trip can be done with either your bike or ours. You can choose it during the booking process, hybrid or electric mountain bikes are available.
Is the daily luggage transfer between accommodations included?
Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You only have to leave it at the reception desk, and we will take care of everything. Normally it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.
Is it possible to cancel?
We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip free of charge so that you can travel within the same year, as long as you let us know at least 3 weeks in advance.
And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following handling fees will apply:
– with more than 30 days, the management fees will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
– between 30 and 15 days, the handling fee will be 50% of the amount of the trip.
– with less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.
In order to have more flexibility, we recommend taking out travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance. Check with us the conditions. Please note that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
Are there roads?
Practically the entire trip is on Vias Verdes, tracks or asphalt roads. If you make the stage to Valencia, there are a few kilometers of link that are made by road where you should drive with caution.
