Details of the Lake Maggiore by bike trip

Easy level trip through the south of Switzerland by bike. This is a gentle cycling trip to discover on the one hand the fantastic Lake Maggiore, with its palm trees and blue waters and the Ticino area with its wild landscape.

A good combination to get to know a beautiful area of the country in addition to other visits and excursions such as the medieval city of Bellinzona or the longest valley in Switzerland.

In short, a good option for those who want to travel in a different way through Switzerland in an easy and pleasant trip.

Day 1: Arrival at Losone

Relaxing day to visit the city the day before starting to cycle.

Day 2: Losone – Bellinzona – Losone 55 km

The first stage will be a beautiful circular route along the lake in the Magadino area. We will go in the direction of Locarno through small forests and agricultural areas until we reach the walled city of Bellinzona.

The city is full of castles, squares and ancient walls where we can rest and have a drink. We will then return to Losone through idyllic villages that lie along the lake.

We will pass through quiet villages before returning to Losone by an easy and pleasant little road.

Day 4: Visit to the Maggia valley 30 km

Today we will visit the Maggia River, which runs for more than 50 km through the Alps before flowing into Lake Maggiore. It is worth visiting the waterfall of Monte Brolla before reaching the beautiful town of Maggia.
