Discover the heart of Belgium by cycling between two of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities. This trip will take you through flat, green landscapes, following historic canals and peaceful rivers, while enjoying Flanders’ famous beer and culinary culture. It’s the perfect adventure for those looking to combine culture, history, and relaxed cycling.
This self-guided tour is ideal for couples, friends, or small groups who want to explore Flanders at their own pace. From vibrant Ghent, with its medieval castle and belfry, you’ll pedal to the “Venice of the North,” Bruges, one of Belgium’s most romantic cities. Along the way, you’ll enjoy lush landscapes, serene rivers, and the opportunity to taste the finest local beers in traditional breweries after your rides.
Day 1: Arrival in Ghent
Arrive at your hotel in the historic center. Meet with the local expert to receive information and your bicycles. Includes a 2-hour guided tour (on foot or by bike) to get to know the city.
Day 2: Around Ghent
After fueling up at breakfast, head out to explore two routes along the peaceful rivers surrounding the city.
Day 3: Ghent to Bruges
Cycle from Ghent to Belgium’s “medieval masterpiece,” Bruges. The route follows the canal connecting the two cities, entering from the south side, the greenest and quietest part.
Day 4: Bruges and Damme
A free day to explore the beautiful city of Bruges. A GPX track is provided to ride to Damme, another nearby medieval gem. In summer, you also have the option to cycle to the beaches of Knokke.
Day 5: Breakfast and End of the Trip
You can extend your stay or request a transfer to the airport.

You will stay in local 3- and 4-star hotels carefully selected for their location and services.
Accommodations are in double or single rooms with private bathrooms, designed to ensure a comfortable rest after each day of cycling. All bookings include breakfast.
Is it possible to rent a bike?
Yes, this trip can be done with either your bike or ours. You can choose it during the booking process, hybrid or electric mountain bikes are available.
Is the daily luggage transfer between accommodations included?
Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You only have to leave it at the reception desk, and we will take care of everything. Normally it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.
Is it possible to cancel?
We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip free of charge so that you can travel within the same year, as long as you let us know at least 3 weeks in advance.
And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following handling fees will apply:
– With more than 30 days, the management fees will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
– between 30 and 15 days, the handling fee will be 50% of the amount of the trip.
– with less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.
In order to have more flexibility, we recommend taking out travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance. Check with us the conditions. Please note that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
