Itinerary of the trip Lake Garda to Venice by bike

Day 1: Accommodation in Peschiera / DesenzanoArrival at the meeting point

Day 2: Desenzano / Peschiera - Verona35/60 km

In the first stage, we will leave Lake Garda behind to go to one of the most important and beautiful cities in the Veneto region: Verona.

We can visit its Roman Amphitheater or the church of San Zeno.

Day 3: Verona – Ilasi / Soave30/40 km

Today will be a day to enjoy a gentle pedaling through vineyards and special paths. We will pedal through the “Strada del Vino” until we reach Illasi / Soave to enjoy its medieval architecture.

Day 4: Illasi / Soave – Vicenza 50/40 km

The third stage is divided into a first smooth and flat section and a second mountainous part, in the heart of the Colli Berici region, south of Vicenza. It is worth the pleasant climb to contemplate the beautiful views of the city, before being able to see in situ its many palaces built in the 16th century, many of them by the famous architect Andrea Palladio.

Day 5: Vicenza - Padua, thermal district50 km

Day 6: Padua – Mestre / Venice55 km

Today’s stage will take us along paths steeped in history, crossing Padua, first along the bike path next to the Battaglia Canal (with its old university), then along the Piovego and Stra Canal, and then along the Bentra Canal. In this part the pedaling is very easy and flat, and you can see the villas where the Venetian nobility once lived (Villa Pisani, Malcontenta, Villa Widmann).

Here is the option to get to Mestre (mainland of Venice) or choose to spend the night in Venice (there is a supplement). Keep in mind that in Venice, apart from in Piazzale Roma and the Santa Lucia train station, it is forbidden to ride a bike, even drag the bike while walking.
