Enjoy the Valencian Community by bike on the Eurovelo 8 cycling in group.
From October 6th to October 10th, take the opportunity to get to know the interior and the coast of the Valencian Community.
As you cycle through mountain ranges and natural parks typical of the Mediterranean, the vegetation gradually increases. Fields of varied fruit plantations appear until you reach the colorful orange groves before plunging into a sea of rice fields in the Albufera.
The towns through which the Eurovelo 8 route passes in this part of the Mediterranean are full of life and history: Alcoy, Alicante, Gandía, Cullera or Valencia have a lot to offer.
Day 1: Arrival at Alcoy
Relaxing day to visit Alcoy the day before starting to cycle. Today will be a relaxing day before starting the cycling adventure. In the afternoon we will have the initial briefing.
Day 2: Alcoy – Gandía 55km & 150m+
Today we will look out to the sea again. On this occasion, we will do it in Gandía, where we will arrive after pedaling along the Serpis river in a pleasant winding through the valleys through which the railroad used to pass until Villalonga. In Gandía, we recommend to taste its famous Fideuá.
Day 3: Gandía – Cullera 35km & 50m+
After breakfast in Gandía, today we will take a beautiful route through wetlands, orange plantations and other fruit trees until we reach the first rice fields of the Albufera Natural Park. We will be greeted by a huge stone mass in Cullera, with its castle on top and its long and beautiful beach.
Day 4: Cullera – Valencia 60km & 100m+
Today is the last day of cycling and you will be surprised to ride through wetlands and rice fields next to the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, you will do it next to the best beaches in the south of Valencia, in the middle of a natural park and with dunes that still keep those fantastic beaches. We will enter Valencia in a big way, in the middle of the City of Arts and Sciences as a first contact with the city.
Day 5: End of the trip
After breakfast, the group trip will be over – we hope you enjoyed it!

The accommodations for this trip along the Vía Verde del Ferrocarril Vasco Navarro have been selected for their quality and location, as close as possible to the route. Always valuing the comfort when arriving with the bicycle and inspected by our team. They are 3-4 star hotels and rural tourism accommodation, always in private rooms with bathroom and good food!
I am only one person, can I still book?
Yes, you can book as a single traveler.
Is it possible to rent a bike?
Yes, this trip can be done with either your bike or ours. You can choose it during the booking process, hybrid or electric mountain bikes are available.
Is the daily luggage transfer between accommodations included?
Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You only have to leave it at the reception desk, and we will take care of everything. Normally it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.
Is it possible to cancel?
We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip free of charge so that you can travel within the same year, as long as you let us know at least 3 weeks in advance.
And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following handling fees will apply:
– with more than 30 days, the management fees will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
– between 30 and 15 days, the handling fee will be 50% of the amount of the trip.
– with less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.
In order to have more flexibility, we recommend taking out travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance. Check with us the conditions. Please note that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
Are there roads?
Practically the entire trip is on Vias Verdes, tracks or asphalt roads. If you make the stage to Valencia, there are a few kilometers of link that are made by road where you should drive with caution.
