Beautiful cycling trip to discover the authentic essence of the Mediterranean by bike.

The first part of the tour passes through the Utiel-Requena region, where you will learn the secrets of the Origin Domination of Utiel Requena, visit wineries and an oil mill to learn more about the culture of the area.

Next, on the way to the Mediterranean Sea, you will pedal between small towns through multiple fruit plantations, among which persimmon, oranges or lemons stand out. You will be able to see the Tous Dam, with one of the most impressive views of the coast.

In a gentle descent between the cradle of the Valencian orange, the end of the bicycle trip will take you, pedaling along the Júcar river, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Cullera. It will be worth the effort to climb the castle, where the views are impressive.

You will arrive in Valencia through the Albufera Natural Park and the best beaches in the south of Valencia. If time permits, you can take a bath on beaches where it is difficult to find someone.

The route of the cycling trip through the Mediterranean takes place mostly on rural roads, tracks and roads with little traffic. This cycling getaway has been designed with occasional cyclists in mind, the idea is to pedal slowly, enjoying the trip and without worries.

Itinerary of the cycling route through the Mediterranean

Day 1: Arrival in Requena the night before starting pedalingArrival in Requena

Day 2: Pedaling through the vineyards of the DO Utiel-Requena to a farm between vineyards40 km and 400 m of elevation gain

After breakfast, the day is full of sensations during pedaling. First, you will warm up as you move gently north. Then you will make the first stop to learn more about the famous olive oil. Then, you will continue the journey to the south, where you will have the opportunity to pedal through vineyards, immersing yourself fully in the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin. We can visit a traditional winery in the area.

Day 3: Utiel-Requena to Alborache65 km and 460 m of elevation gain

After two days in the heart of Valencian wine, you will leave the valley gently pedaling along paths that will take you to a very different landscape. You will leave the vineyards behind to immerse yourself in Mediterranean forest and fruit plantations. You will sleep near the Buñol river, where you can see the route of the mills.

Day 4: Alborache – Alcira60 km y 100 m of elevation gain

After a good breakfast, you will continue the bicycle route to the cradle of the Valencian orange. A gentle bike ride to Alcira full of fruit plantations. Mainly persimmons and orange trees.

Day 5: Alcira - Tous - Alcira60 km y 450 m of elevation gain

Today it will be worth the ascent to the Tous Dam to enjoy beautiful views of the area. You will return to the hotel to rest before tomorrow’s stage that will finally take you to the sea.

Day 6: Alcira - Cullera45 km y 40 m of elevation gain

After breakfast you will set off to descend gently through the banks of the Júcar. You will leave behind the beautiful orange trees to have the first contact with the immense rice fields of the Albufera Natural Park and all the fauna that accompany them. If when you get to Cullera you have the strength, going up to the castle will be rewarded with one of the most spectacular views of the Valencian Community with the sea and the mountains as protagonists.

Day 7: Cullera - Valencia60 km y 50 m of elevation gain

Today you will arrive in the capital, Valencia, on the last pedaling day of the trip. As soon as you start today’s bike route, you will pass by the Cullera lighthouse. On clear days you can see Valencia behind the beach line next to the Albufera. After a gentle descent, you will start pedaling through the rice fields that will accompany you for much of the journey. Pay attention to the birds, it is a pleasure to see them in their environment. Before entering Valencia, you will enjoy cycling through Mediterranean forests and the best beaches in the south of Valencia. You will enter Valencia through the City of Arts and Sciences, there cannot be a better entrance.

Day 8: end of the tripAfter breakfast, the journey will be over.

No, a minimum of two people is needed to book this tour

Can I rent a bike?

Yes, a fully equiped bike is available for rent. You can select during the booking process.

Is the daily luggage transfer between the accommodations included?

Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You just have to leave it at reception, and we take care of everything. Usually it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.

Can I cancel the booking?

We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in the event of an unforeseen event, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip at no cost so that you can travel within the same year.

And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following management fees will apply:

• With more than 30 days, the management costs will be 20% of the amount of the trip.
• Between 30 and 15 days, the management costs will be 50% of the amount of the trip
• With less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.

To have more flexibility, we recommend contracting travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance with which the trip can be canceled up to 24 hours before the start date with a 10% franchise. Check with us the conditions. Keep in mind that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.
