Day 1: Arrival at the first hotel in Almeria

The first hotel will be the starting point of the trip. This is where you will arrive the night before you start pedaling.

Day 2: Almeria – San Jose, 44 km and 430m+44 km

The first stage will take us along the coast to San José. We will pass through the marshes and along stretches of track to the town of Cabo de Gata. Get to know the Cabo de Gata Lighthouse before ascending to enjoy one of the most special panoramic views of the Park. After a nice descent, we will see the Genoveses beach before arriving at our hotel.

Day 3: San José – Las Negras, 44 km y 840m+44 km y 840m+

After a good breakfast, we will leave San José heading north along roads, tracks and some stretches of road to Los Escullos. We will see little towns like Isleta del Moro, a small town with a lot of charm on the seashore, wonderful coves like Playazo or Cortijo del Fraile, famous for the “Crime of Níjar” and a source of inspiration for Federico García Lorca in the work Blood Wedding. At the end of the stage we will pass through Rodalquilar and its old gold mines in the mountains

Day 4: Las Negras – Agua Amarga, 46km 900m+37km 680m+

During the last stage you will enjoy the interior landscape of the province of Almería until arriving at one of the most beautiful and well-known towns on the Almería coast, Agua Amarga.

During the first kilometers you will go up the boulevard towards Hortichuelas along the old road and you will pedal without traffic. It is the longest climb on the route, but when you reach the highest point the effort will be worth it. This stage also passes through several coves between wide and well-maintained tracks, until reaching the town of Agua Amarga with hardly any difficulties.

Transfer to Almería and END OF THE TRIP

How is the trip

Pedal through a different terrain and next to a crystal clear sea through unique coves and beaches.

There are two coastal stages and one inland, even going into an ancient crater.

A nice adventure in Cabo de Gata by bike for those who want to pedal through unique scenery.

Usual accommodations of the trip
The accommodations of this trip through Cabo de Gata have been selected for their quality and location, as close as possible to the route. Always valuing the comfort when arriving with the bike and inspected by our team. They are 3-4 star hotels and rural tourism accommodation, always in private rooms with bathroom and good food!

I am only one person, can I still book?

Yes, you can book as a single traveler.

Is it possible to rent a bike?

Yes, this trip can be done with either your bike or ours. You can choose it during the booking process, hybrid or electric mountain bikes are available.

Is the daily luggage transfer between accommodations included?

Yes, every day we will take your luggage to the next hotel. You only have to leave it at the reception desk, and we will take care of everything. Normally it will already be at the hotel when you arrive.

Is it possible to cancel?

We want to be as flexible as possible. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to change the dates of the trip free of charge so that you can travel within the same year, as long as you let us know at least 3 weeks in advance.

And if your plans change and you want to cancel the trip before the start date, the following handling fees will apply:

– with more than 30 days, the management fees will be 20% of the amount of the trip.

– between 30 and 15 days, the handling fee will be 50% of the amount of the trip.

– with less than 14 days, the amount to be paid will be 100% of the amount of the trip.

In order to have more flexibility, we recommend taking out travel, assistance, CR and cancellation insurance. Check with us the conditions. Please note that the price of the insurance is not refunded once contracted in case of cancellation or modification.

Are there roads?

Practically the entire trip is on Vias Verdes, tracks or asphalt roads. If you make the stage to Valencia, there are a few kilometers of link that are made by road where you should drive with caution.
